Teen dead, 3 injured after shooting near Pompano Beach convenience store

Investigation ongoing after four people were shot Monday afternoon

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Authorities are investigating a shooting that they say claimed the life of a teenager near a convenience store in Pompano Beach Monday evening.

A Local 10 News crew was in the area around 6 p.m. where trails of blood were seen on the ground in front of the store near the 1800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue confirmed the teenager was transported to Broward Health North in critical condition, where he later died.

Three other victims were also rushed to the hospital but there has been no update on their health status.

Investigators have not released any information on the victim’s gender or identity and a motive remains unclear at this time.
