Anti-Semitic message found on Hallandale Beach sidewalk

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. ā€“ Hateful vandalism was found in a South Florida neighborhood Thursday night.

Antisemitic messages that read ā€œHitler was rightā€ were seen spray painted on a sidewalk near the 1400 block of East Hallandale Beach Boulevard.

The defaced sidewalk drew concern from many residents in the area.

ā€œThatā€™s not right at all. Itā€™s antisemitism,ā€ said Broward County resident Kathi Cula. ā€œI feel like we need to be more together, and words like that are so messed up.ā€

ā€œI think itā€™s terrible, and I think, obviously, itā€™s targeted at the large population of Jews in Hallandale,ā€ one man added.

Police covered the message from the sidewalk early Friday morning, but are urging the public to come forward if they witness any hateful acts.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Hallandale Beach Police Department at 954-457-1400 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
