Woman shot in the back in Miami-Dade’s West Perrine area

WEST PERRINE, Fla. – Miami-Dade fire rescue personnel found a woman who had been shot in the back during a party on Saturday night in southern Miami-Dade County’s West Perrine neighborhood.

Police officers were investigating the shooting in the area of Southwest 103 Avenue and 170 Terrace, near West Perrine Park and the Ethel F. Beckford/Richmond Elementary School.

Fire rescue personnel took the woman to the Jackson South Medical Center.

Last Friday, a shooting in West Perrine wounded Kelvin Stanley Daye Jr., near Southwest 100 Avenue and West Indigo Street, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department. Daye died at Jackson South Medical Center.
