Two kinds of Planters nuts recalled due to listeria risk

Before you reach into your pantry for a snack, there’s an important recall you should know about.

Hormel Foods is voluntarily recalling a limited number of two Planters nuts that were produced at one of its facilities in April 2024.

According to the US Food and Drug Administration, the products are being recalled because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The products were shipped to Publix distribution warehouses in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina and to Dollar Tree distribution warehouses in South Carolina and Georgia.

If a consumer has this product, they can discard the product or return it to the store where they were purchased for an exchange or full refund.
