Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a house in the area of Southwest 152 Street and 102 Avenue, according to M-DSO.

The Internet Crimes Against Children unit had been investigating the case of child sex abuse and child porn for over a year when deputies used speakers to announce themselves, and two adults and a child walked out of the house, according to deputies.

“ICAC search warrants are the most dangerous warrants historically in law enforcement that we can serve,” Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz said.

An armed man confronted the deputies, who then shot and killed him, and arrested another suspect, according to deputies.

Cordero-Stutz said the victims in the case that was under investigation were as young as infants and as old as 6 years old.

Deputies set up a command post at the Colonial Park at 10750 SW 156 Terrace. A SWAT team was involved.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement was investigating the fatal deputy-involved shooting.

This is a developing story.
