MIAMI — Miami-Dade prosecutors chose not to pursue a child neglect charge against a Canadian tourist, according to court records.

Miami Beach police had arrested Ibtissem Benhamadi, 43, of Montreal, in September after they said her daughter was found wandering naked in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue.

Records show the case was closed on Nov. 21 with prosecutors taking no action on the case.

Available court documents don’t explain why prosecutors dropped the charge.
