HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — A reward of up to $5,000 is now being offered for information leading to an arrest in a deadly shooting at a Hollywood banquet hall that left two men dead and two others injured back in 2024.
Broward Crime Stoppers announced the reward on Wednesday as detectives continue investigating the Dec. 1, 2024, shooting that occurred at the Hollywood Jaycees Hall, located at 2930 Hollywood Blvd.
Police said the gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. following a baby shower. Investigators believe the violence stemmed from an argument in the parking lot.
They said two men were killed in the shooting.
Family members identified them as Taron Nicks and Octavis Jackson, both 44. During his college years, Jackson played football at Florida State University. He was also a father of two.
Two other victims were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with injuries. Authorities have not publicly released their names.
Earlier in the investigation, police issued a be-on-the-lookout alert for a vehicle they believe may be connected to the shooting.
Detectives have identified several persons of interest but have not announced any arrests. Officials have also not publicly identified the vehicle or the individuals of interest.
