Miami-Dade Youth Fair opens with new rides, foods and discounted entry

Miami-Dade Youth Fair returns with new attractions and ticket deals

MIAMI — The excitement is already building as staff get ready to open the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair, where this year’s theme is “Wild About the Fair.”

Organizers say there’s a lot that’s new in 2026.

Out of the 150 exhibitors, visitors will find 38 brand-new food items, along with two new rides and several ticket deals meant to keep things affordable for families.

But before the gates open, the focus is on safety.

Inspections have been happening since early Wednesday morning. The checks come a couple of years after an issue with one of the rides, when safety features automatically kicked in.

No one was hurt, but fair officials say it served as an important reminder of why those inspections matter.

If something doesn’t pass inspection, officials say it won’t open.

Once everything gets the green light, though, the focus shifts to the fun and food.

Among the new items this year are Dubai chocolate cookies, and for those feeling a little adventurous, frog legs will also be on the menu.

Organizers say affordability is also a big focus this year. Admission on opening day, and several other select days, will be just $5. There will also be $6 days, where guests can get in for $6 before 6 p.m.

Discounted tickets can be found at Sedano’s Supermarkets.

With inspections continuing and opening day right around the corner, organizers say they’re excited to get the fair underway and give South Florida families plenty of new things to try.
