2 critically injured in Fort Lauderdale shooting, police say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a shooting that left two people critically injured Wednesday night.

Officers responded around 9 p.m. to the 2500 block of Northwest 21st Street after receiving reports of a possible shooting. When they arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue transported both victims to Broward Health Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Officials said crews administered whole blood while on the way to the hospital.

Detectives are on scene, and the investigation remains active.
