FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Nine people, including three children, were hurt after a crash between two minivans Sunday.

According to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue, the crash happened just before 9 p.m. in the 500 block of West Sunrise Boulevard.

Crews say when they arrived, they found the two minivans, one of which was overturned with people trapped inside.

Medics took the nine injured victims to Broward Health Medical Center.

Seven of them suffered serious injuries and three of the injured are children, authorities said.

Their conditions have not been released. The crash is under investigation.
