PALMETTO BAY, Fla. — Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating a shooting in a residential area in Palmetto Bay early Wednesday evening.
According to MDSO, the shooting happened in the area of Southwest 92nd Avenue and 168th Street.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson said medics responded to “a medical call involving reports of someone shot” and directed further inquiries to MDSO.
Authorities have not provided any information about anyone involved.
Village officials put out a notice to residents to “be aware of significant police activity in the area” and to anticipate “potential road closures” in the area.
According to MDSO, an agency spokesperson was set to provide an update at around 6:30 p.m.
