SARASOTA, Fla. — A traffic stop along the Florida Suncoast led to a big surprise for law enforcement.

After pulling over a pickup truck that was driving without headlights, Sarasota police officers discovered some unusual passengers.

Inside the truck’s bed were a mother possum and her babies.

Officers briefly took the animals into custody before safety releasing them into the wild.
