Suspects caught on camera shoving teens off electric scooters before stealing them

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Police are searching for the suspects who stole two electric scooters from the teenagers who were riding them.

The crime, caught on surveillance camera, happened Sunday shortly after 4 p.m. in the area of Northeast 163rd Street and 12th Avenue in northeast Miami-Dade County.

In the footage, the teens are seen on their electric scooters when they are suddenly approached and pushed off by two men who appeared to be riding electric bicycles.

The father of one of those teens said his son was also threatened with violence during the crime.

Those scooters, he said, were valued at around $600 and $1,000.
