MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

According to authorities, deputies responded at around 2:45 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert near Southwest 217th Street and Southwest 120th Avenue.

Investigators say deputies arrived and found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel transported him to Jackson South Medical Center in critical condition, however he later died at the hospital.

Detectives with the agency’s Homicide Bureau are investigating.

No further information has been released.
