WESTON, Fla. — Authorities reported several people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash on I-75.

It happened late Sunday morning along the westbound lanes of I-75 to the west of I-595 in Weston.

According to officials, a total of five people were injured.

Rescue crews said there were multiple trauma alerts among the injured that included a child.

All of the injured victims were taken to Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.

First responders closed all westbound lanes of I-75 while processing the scene.
