2 arrested after Mustang shot up in North Lauderdale, leaving 1 dead, 1 injured

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two people were arrested last Friday following a fatal shooting in North Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Local 10 News Monday.

According to BSO, Anthony Adams, 18, and Aamir Adams, 19, were taken into custody Friday on multiple charges, including premeditated murder and criminal attempt, solicitation, and conspiracy. Aamir Adams also faces a probation violation charge.

Local 10 News has requested copies of both of their arrest reports.

According to BSO, the shooting was reported at about 1 a.m. Friday near the 7900 block of Southwest Seventh Court.

A BSO spokeswoman said deputies arrived at the scene and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

North Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel transported both victims to a local hospital, where one of them died.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene later in the morning as investigators remained at the scene, placing evidence markers on the ground before a Ford Mustang was towed away.

The driver’s side window was blown out by bullets.

A BSO spokeswoman said deputies later found the suspect vehicle near the 1300 block of Avocado Isle in Fort Lauderdale, where at least one of the suspects was detained.

The relationship between both suspects has not yet been released.

As of Monday afternoon, both were being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
