MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was hurt after a shooting in Miami-Dade’s unincorporated West Little River area on Wednesday afternoon, first responders said.
The shooting happened at the corner of Northwest 27th Avenue and 90th Street.
Video from Sky 10 showed blood spattered on the sidewalk at the intersection and Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies at the scene.
An MDSO spokesperson said deputies arrived just before 2:30 p.m. and found a man “laying on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.”
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson said medics took the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
Authorities did not provide additional details about his condition or whether they had a suspect in custody.
Traffic on Northwest 27th Avenue was being diverted as deputies blocked off the road.
