NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — A South Florida pastor was arrested on child rape and molestation charges on Tuesday and authorities say they think he may have victimized others.
Records show Elie Dorcius, 62, is the pastor of Unity Baptist Church at 13001 NW Seventh Ave. in North Miami. He also lives in North Miami.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, a woman came forward to say that Dorcius had raped her beginning when she was 5 years old and committed other acts of sexual abuse when she was a child.
Local 10 News is not disclosing the relationship between Dorcius and the accuser in order to avoid identifying her.
Authorities said he declined to speak with investigators about the allegations.
An MDSO spokesperson said in a news release that owing “to his position within the community, detectives believe there may be additional victims.”
