MIAMI — Miami-Dade County says it will pursue eminent domain to acquire the fuel facility that supplies PortMiami.
Mayor Daniella Levine Cava made the announcement after negotiations to purchase the property broke down.

The fuel bunker on the exclusive Fisher Island has been the subject of several lawsuits and a high-profile dispute over its future.
Levine Cava said the county’s goal is to ensure a reliable fuel supply for PortMiami’s operations.
