Deputies: Man struck by vehicle after dispute in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was airlifted to a hospital and another was taken into custody after a dispute turned violent in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 5:50 p.m. to the 5400 block of Northwest 192nd Lane, where they found a man suffering from a major laceration to his leg.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim by helicopter to a nearby hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.

Deputies also took another man into custody at the scene.

According to investigators, the two men were involved in a verbal argument that escalated when the man in custody got into a vehicle and struck the victim, causing the injury.

No further details were immediately released as the investigation continues.
