LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. — A Lauderdale Lakes family has been forced out of their home after a fire broke out on Sunday.
The home is located along Northwest 41st Court and from the outside, it looks okay.
But inside the home tells a much different story.
There are charred ruins and fiberglass everywhere, the ceilings and floors are wrecked and there’s water damage throughout this house.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said the fire started around 10:20 a.m. with smoke observed coming out of the home.
Fire crews said they put the blaze out in half an hour.
There is no word on how the fire started, but an investigation is ongoing.
A family member told Local 10 News the American Red Cross is helping them get a place to stay.
It’s expected to take many months until this home is livable again.
