MIAMI SHORES, Fla. — Miami Shores police asked for the public’s help Thursday in identifying a man who they say was seen on home surveillance video carrying what appeared to be a long-barrel rifle or shotgun and approaching a home on Wednesday night.
According to police, the incident happened around 10:15 p.m. when the individual was captured on camera walking up to a residence in Miami Shores.
Investigators said the culprit, described as a white male wearing a baseball cap and an unknown-colored shirt and shorts, appeared to be carrying what looked like a long gun.
Surveillance video shows the man approaching the front door, ringing the doorbell and waiting about 15 seconds before leaving the area and walking southbound, police said.
They said the resident told investigators they did not recognize the individual and had never seen him before.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the Miami Shores Police Department at 305-759-2468.
