Fitness influencer acquitted of most serious charges in cop hit-and-run case

MIAMI — A Miami-Dade jury acquitted a South Beach fitness influencer who faced multiple felony charges after being accused of running over a Miami Beach police officer and fleeing.

Armando Fogaça, then 37, had been accused of hitting a Miami Beach police officer who had tried stopping him in 2025 and then fleeing onto the MacArthur Causeway.

Records show a jury acquitted him of hit-and-run, aggravated battery and reckless driving charges in February.

However, he was convicted of two misdemeanors: driving without a license and failing to obey a police officer.

On those charges, records show he received a 60-day jail sentence.
