MIRAMAR, Fla. — A car caught on fire Monday afternoon in Miramar near a natural gas line leak, first responders confirmed to Local 10 News.
According to Miramar Fire Rescue officials, the car fire was reported at about 1 p.m. in the 6600 block of Dahlia Drive.
MFR officials said crews arrived at the scene and found a car fully engulfed in flames.
Officials then determined that a natural gas line was leaking in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle.
MFR officials said the vehicle was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
The gas company is enroute to the area as MFR crews and a hazmat unit remain at the scene.
