MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was injured while skydiving with an instructor on Monday at the Miami Homestead General Aviation Airport.
The man, who is a student, suffered leg bone fractures while landing during a tandem jump, according to an airport official.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded shortly after 10:40 a.m. to Southwest 219 Avenue and 287 Street, according to dispatch records.
Fire rescue used a helicopter to fly the man, who suffered traumatic injuries, to Jackson South’s Ryder Trauma Center, according to MDFR personnel.
