MIAMI — A dog owner is behind bars after Miami police said his two pit bulls attacked a man and his dog in Wynwood.

Police identified the owner as Jonte Jack. Investigators said Jack owned the two pit bulls that ambushed a man who was out running with his dog in the neighborhood.

According to police, the runner told officers Jack encouraged the dogs to attack.

Video taken by a bystander after the incident shows the victim on the ground as the two pit bulls walk away with their owner.

The victim, 30-year-old Evan Motlong, suffered cuts and bruises and is recovering.

Jack is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony battery and criminal mischief.
