PLANTATION, Fla. — A man is facing an aggravated battery charge for shooting another man multiple times in Plantation on Saturday, according to the city’s police department.
Authorities said the incident happened just before 1:25 p.m. in the 4200 block of Northwest Fifth Street.
Police said Eric Zavala, 29, opened fire during an argument with the victim, whom he knew, and said witnesses identified him as the shooter.
Medics took the victim to the hospital, where he was expected to survive.
Further details weren’t immediately available Sunday evening.
Records show Zavala was being held in the Broward Main Jail on a $10,000 bond.
