MIRAMAR, Fla. — Police in Miramar are investigating a stabbing incident.

It happened Wednesday night in the area of the Mobile gas station located at 16961 Miramar Pkwy.

According to police, a man suffered serious injuries and was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

Authorities said the subject in the stabbing took off, leading to police establishing a perimeter in the area while investigating.

Officers closed off Miramar Parkway in both directions between 164th Avenue and 172nd Avenue while processing the scene.
