KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. — A 32-year-old felon stands accused of stealing packages valued at nearly $6,850 from an apartment building in Key Biscayne, while he was out on probation for another theft, records show.
Surveillance videos show Raymond Delgado, who lives in Hialeah and is unemployed, tracking a UPS delivery truck with his phone on June 18, according to a police officer’s arrest report.
Delgado walked into an apartment building’s lobby and told an employee that “he was authorized to retrieve packages,” according to the police report.
Police officers arrested Delgado at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday at the Florida Department of Corrections Probation & Parole Services facility, at 3601 NW 167 St., in Miami Gardens, according to the police report.
Miami-Dade corrections booked Delgado shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to inmate records.
Court records showed Delgado faced three new charges: Burglary of an occupied dwelling, third-degree grand theft, and unlawful use of a communication device. His bond was $15,000.
According to Delgado’s Florida Department of Corrections’ profile, his probation was from March 9 to March 8, 2028, for a third-degree grand theft on Jan. 6 in Miami-Dade County.
