MIAMI — Miami Fire Rescue medics transported four people to a hospital Saturday after a boating incident in the Brickell area.
The incident occurred near Southeast Fifth Street.
According to Miami Fire Rescue officials, four people were transported to HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in stable condition. Several other people at the scene were evaluated by first responders but did not require transportation.
Boat operators at the scene told Local 10 News that the incident was caused by a mechanical issue aboard the boat, prompting passengers to request medical attention.
Operators said the boat did not collide with another vessel.
No other details were immediately released.
