HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — A man has been arrested after police said he repeatedly targeted the same Hollywood home, causing hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars in damage during multiple acts of vandalism captured on surveillance video.

Hollywood police identified the suspect as 49-year-old Philip Brown, of Miami. He is charged with criminal mischief and causing more than $1,000 in property damage.

The arrest comes after the homeowners previously told Local 10 that a man they did not know had repeatedly shown up at their second home and damaged the property.

Security cameras captured several of the incidents.

The homeowners said the man tore security cameras from the house, broke multiple windows and made violent threats. Guests were staying at the property during some of the incidents, according to the couple.

The homeowners said they contacted police each time the man returned, but he would leave before officers arrived.

“We’re scared, very anxious about it, because this guy is targeting our house for God knows why,” one of the homeowners, who asked not to be identified, previously told Local 10. “We don’t know him. We have no enemies, nothing. It’s vandalism, it’s threats, it’s theft, and we have no idea what he wants from us.”

At the time, the homeowner said she was constantly checking the property’s security cameras because she did not know when the man might return.

Hollywood police subsequently arrested Brown in connection with the incidents.

Brown has since bonded out of jail.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive for the repeated vandalism.
