NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — North Miami police say a man approached a 15-year-old girl walking home from school, exchanging phone numbers and later raping her ― all while out on bond for a case in which they say he exposed himself to another girl in a KFC bathroom.

Wesky Gillo, 21, had a child rape charge added to his docket on Tuesday while he was already behind bars, having been picked up while out on bond on Aug. 7 for driving on a suspended license.

According to the North Miami Police Department, the assault happened on Sept. 3, 2025 at the girl’s apartment. That’s one day after they said Gillo approached her after school.

Authorities said Gillo had texted with the victim and told her he was 17 and the two arranged a meeting at the girl’s apartment while her mother was at work.

Police said Gillo had the girl perform oral sex on him and then asked her to have intercourse. They said “the victim repeatedly told him no, but eventually complied out of fear.”

Authorities said Gillo left after “the victim began to cry” during the five-minute assault.

According to another arrest report, the KFC incident happened nearly a year before the rape.

North Miami police said on Oct. 7, 2024, Gillo, then 20 and working at the KFC at 701 NW 119th St., had unlocked a restroom door for a girl who had asked to use it.

According to NMPD, after the girl went in and locked the door, Gillo used the key to unlock it again and go in, asking the girl if he could “wash his hands.”

Police said the girl ― also under 16 ― told him “no,” but he stayed inside “and asked her if she keep(s) secrets.”

“The victim stated that (Gillo) told her to ‘keep this secret’ and started to unbuckle his belt and unzipped his pants,” the report states. “The victim stated that (he) told her to touch his penis.”

Authorities said surveillance video showed the girl bolting out of the bathroom after Gillo made the lewd request.

Police said they took him into custody two days later and he claimed he was outside sending text messages while the girl was inside the bathroom.

They said Gillo let officers search his phone to back up his alibi.

“A check of (Gillo’s) phone revealed that he was not sending any text messages or making any phone calls during the time the victim was using the bathroom,” the NMPD report states. “While going through (his) phone, it was observed that he had a saved pornographic video of a child engaging in sex.”

He was arrested on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child under 16 and a charge related to the transmission of child sexual abuse material. While the case remained active as of Wednesday morning, court records show prosecutors did not pursue the latter charge.

As of Wednesday morning, Gillo remained jailed without bond at the Metrowest Detention Center.
