POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A man was hospitalized after being shot Thursday night in Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Shortly before 7:45 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a shooting at 220 South Dixie Highway.

Deputies responded and found a man who had been shot.

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Detectives with BSO’s Crime Scene and Robbery Units are investigating.

According to investigators, a subject was located and detained.

The investigation continues.
