MIAMI — Miami police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a vehicle riddled with bullets, but resulted in no reported injuries, authorities confirmed to Local 10 News.
According to police, officers received two ShotSpotter alerts at about 12:15 a.m. Friday, and set up a perimeter along Northwest Seventh Avenue between Northwest 52nd and Northwest 54th streets as they investigated.
When officers arrived, they continued to hear additional gunfire in the area, according to police.
Officers later made contact with a victim who told investigators that a man had been shooting at him.
Police also discovered a vehicle at the scene that had been struck by multiple rounds.
Despite the gunfire, authorities said no injuries were reported.
Police have not released information about a possible suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
The investigation remains ongoing.
