Authorities responded to a shooting that they say left a man in serious condition in Liberty City early Saturday morning.

MIAMI — A 32-year-old man was seriously injured in a shooting early Saturday in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, according to Miami Fire Rescue officials.

MFR medics said they responded to the scene and transported the man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in serious condition. They said he suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Authorities said the shooting was reported around 3:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of Northwest 12th Avenue. Miami police have since cleared the area as their investigation continues.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene as crime scene investigators were processing a red SUV that appeared to have multiple bullet holes.

It was not immediately clear whether the shooting occurred at that location or whether the SUV arrived there after the man was shot elsewhere.

Police had not released additional details about the victim or the circumstances of the shooting, and no possible suspects had been identified.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
