A driver was injured after an early morning crash along the Palmetto Expressway.

It happened around 6:45 a.m. near the exit for northwest 154th Street in Miami Lakes.

According to authorities, one of the vehicles involved in the crash rolled over.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said driver man was taken by helicopter to an area trauma center, but their health condition was not provided.

Traffic was backed up in the northbound lanes of the Palmetto as crews worked to clear the crash scene.
