FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A man died Thursday morning after being struck by a Tri-Rail train in Fort Lauderdale, police confirmed.
According to police, someone called 911 at about 6:15 a.m. to report that a body was lying near the train tracks in the 6200 block of North Andrews Avenue.
Detectives arrived at the scene and discovered that a Tri-Rail train had struck a white male, authorities said. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
