MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a northwest Miami-Dade woman on Monday after they said she hurled a bucket of feces onto her next-door neighbor over a suspected affair.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the crime happened in the 5500 block of Northwest 200th Terrace, within the Royal Country mobile home park west of Miami Gardens.

An MDSO report states that the suspect, Yirsi Esperanza Machado Rivera, and the victim live in separate sides of a split trailer at the park.

Deputies said Machado Rivera, 50, went to the victim’s side of the trailer at around 6:15 p.m. and “began banging on the door;” after the victim answered it, she “began accusing the victim of having a sexual relationship with (her) husband.”

Authorities said Machado Rivera “forced her way” inside the victim’s home and “began shoving the victim.”

Then, before leaving, deputies said she “subsequently threw a bucket containing human feces onto the victim” and left.

According to the report, Machado Rivera told a witness “that she pooped in a bucket to throw it in the victim’s face.”

Deputies said Machado Rivera told them during an interview at MDSO’s Northwest District station that “she was trying to get rid of a bucket of ‘caca’ that she was using” because of a broken toilet.

According to the report, Machado Rivera said she and her neighbor were verbally arguing “over the smell of the ‘caca’ and the problem it was causing” when the victim “hit her over the head with a bat, causing a laceration to her head.”

She “denied entering the victim’s residence and throwing ‘caca’ at the victim,” deputies said.

Deputies arrested Machado Rivera on charges of burglary and battery.

As of Tuesday afternoon, she was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond listed as “to be set.”
