FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A Fort Lauderdale police report released on Tuesday reveals the accusations that led up to Friday’s domestic violence arrest of YouTuber Jack Doherty.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the dispute happened just before noon at a home in the 1400 block of Southwest Fifth Court in the city’s Riverside Park neighborhood.

The FLPD report states that Doherty, 22, had been in an argument with his girlfriend that became physical.

Police said Doherty “moved quickly towards her and got in her face,” prompting her to use her arm “to make distance” between the two, giving Doherty “two scratch marks” on his face and collarbone. Officers said surveillance video “confirmed the series of events.”

According to the report, the woman told officers that the argument continued after she went upstairs.

The woman said Doherty was “angry” over her “wanting to leave,” so he “pushed her to the ground and used his hands around her neck to briefly pin her to the ground,” the report states.

Police said Doherty’s girlfriend remained able to breathe. They said she grabbed a gun from the bedside table and “held it by her side,” telling Doherty, in fear, that “she will shoot him if he comes near her.”

According to the report, Doherty declined to speak with officers, who arrested him on a domestic battery charge. He later bonded out of jail.

Broward court records list no attorney for the influencer, whose full name is Jack Cashin Doherty.

Friday’s arrest marked his second publicized run-in with the law in South Florida: In November 2025, Miami Beach police arrested Doherty on drug charges. Body camera footage showed the South Beach arrest.

In that case, Miami-Dade court records show that Doherty entered into a deferred prosecution program.
