HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Officials say no injuries have been reported after a small plane plunged into the waters off South Florida.

A photo shows the aircraft upside down and underwater in Biscayne Bay after the crash.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cessna aircraft had four people on board when it crashed Sunday afternoon into the waters roughly two miles off Key Largo.

Recent reports indicate that the plane went down in Biscayne Bay within view of a downtown Miami park.

The plane was flying from Hollywood to Key West. FAA officials say the plane lost power in its rear engine.

The four people on board were picked up by a nearby boater and taken to land near Turkey Point.

Authorities say the plane will be left in the water until it can be pulled out in a couple of days.
