Bulldozer hits gas line on Sheridan Street; area closed to traffic

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - A broken gas line has shut down Sheridan Street, between US Highway 27 and 205th Avenue, in Pembroke Pines.

East and westbound lanes are shut down.

Officials said around 4:45 Monday afternoon, a bulldozer hit a natural gas line.

Fire Department personnel secured the scene, while gas company officials are attempting to cap the leak. As of Monday night, they are still working on the leak.

No residents were evacuated and no businesses were affected by the leak. All natural gas service for Pembroke Pines was not affected by the leak.
