FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Police are after two men were shot late Monday in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police said Jonathan Carter, 20, of Fort Lauderdale, was found near the doorstep of a Dunkin Donuts at 1450 W. Broward Blvd. with a gunshot wound to the leg.

At the same time, officers saw a black vehicle speeding west, away from the Dunkin Donuts. They stopped the vehicle in the 1700 block of West Broward Boulevard and found Wayne McCoy, 23, of Fort Lauderdale, inside, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, police said.

Both men were taken to Broward General Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.

Fort Lauderdale police said they believe the shootings occurred in the 1400 block of Northwest First Street, and then Carter ran to Dunkin Donuts and McCoy ran back to the vehicle without realizing he had been shot.
