FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A security guard at a beachfront entertainment plaza in Fort Lauderdale was arrested Thursday after he sold marijuana to an undercover police officer, police said.

Jeffrey Mincy was arrested on one count of delivery of cannabis.

According to a Fort Lauderdale police report, Mincy met with the undercover officer and agreed to sell him $20 worth of marijuana while he was working as a security guard at Beach Place.

In December, the city deemed Beach Place a nuisance because of continued illegal activity on the property. One of the recommendations presented to the owners was to increase the number of uniformed security guards.
