South Florida rap star Kodak Black arrested for violating probation

Rapper seen on video at South Florida club, boxing match in Cincinnati

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – South Florida rap star Kodak Black was arrested Tuesday in a Broward County courtroom for violating his probation.

The rapper, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, violated his probation from a previous drug arrest on which he was sentenced to house arrest and probation.

Despite being confined to an approved residence in Pembroke Pines unless he was working or doing public service, Octave, 19, was seen on video at South Florida club and at a boxing match in Cincinnati.

Records show Octave also failed to complete a court-ordered anger management program.

Octave is also facing sexual misconduct charges in South Carolina jail. The rapper was released from jail in December after posting a $100,000 bond.

XXLmag.com reports Octave is currently on tour and was scheduled to perform in New York City on Wednesday night.
