Jacey Birch named South Fla. Dog Whisperer

Cesar Millan visits Local 10

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – You may see Local 10's Jacey Birch with a little help on occasion from her two Chihuahuas, Jagger and Simba, but Birch got to lend them a hand Wednesday.

The most popular dog trainer in the world, Cesar Millan, stopped by Local 10 to help Birch better understand her pups.

"What I'm looking at is the energy. This is your calm one, this is your nervous one, right?" Millan asked Birch. "So even though I don't know much about it, this is how they are right now, so this is why they become a little overprotective."

Known for his powerful patience and direct discipline, Millan has worked with problem pups around the world. He gave Birch a few pointers on how to be the leader of her pack.

"When people have two or three or four dogs, they don't have a problem with the whole pack. They have a problem with one, the one that starts," Millan said.

Birch asked Millan if he could anoint her a dog whisperer, but she said she hasn't quite earned the title yet.

"So now I'm a dog whisperer?" Birch asked. "Almost! Nope."
