MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. - Police are searching for the gunman who robbed and pistol-whipped a man at a northeast Miami-Dade County apartment complex.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the Colonial Sunset apartments at 17001 NE Ninth Ave.

Miami-Dade police said the owner of the apartments and an employee were working in the office when they were robbed of cash and jewelry at gunpoint.

Police said the gunman then pistol-whipped the owner and fired several shots at them, although they were not struck.
