About $80,000 worth of designer bags, jewelry stolen from SUV in Miami

Surveillance video shows woman breaking into Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen

MIAMI – About $80,000 worth of designer bags and luxury jewelry were stolen last month from the trunk of an SUV in Miami, authorities announced Tuesday.

The incident occurred Jan. 6 in the area of NW Third Avenue and 27th Street.

Miami police said the victim claimed she parked her black Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen around 10:30 a.m. and returned shortly before noon to find that someone had shattered the rear window on the passenger side.

Authorities said the bags and jewelry were stolen from the trunk area.

Detectives said a white female and an unknown getaway driver were involved in the burglary.
