Missing Miami woman believed to have been abducted

Samantha Martinez hasn't been seen since Nov. 30

MIAMI – Police are searching for a Miami woman who was believed to have been abducted late last month.

Miami police said Samantha Martinez, 20, hasn't been seen since Nov. 30.

Police said Martinez was last seen near Northwest Seventh Avenue and Northwest 69th Street.

"We do believe that she may be in the Overtown area and that she could possibly, indeed, be in danger," Officer Christopher Bess said.

Police said the boyfriend contacted police days after receiving a suspicious telephone call.

"It was a very suspicious phone call, and he, indeed, gave that information to the detectives," Bess said.

Martinez was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue shirt, blue pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information about Martinez's whereabouts is asked to call police at 305-603-6320 or 305-579-6111.
