NORTH MIAMI-DADE - A motorcyclist died early Thursday morning after crashing along an I-95 expressway exit ramp.

The victim was identified as 21-year-old Alejandro Simon of Miami.

Florida Highway Patrol says Simon had just exited I-95 southbound at Northwest 95th Street. That's when he struck the median, spun out, and was thrown from the bike.

Simon was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The exit was closed for several hours as police investigated.
