Police: Shooting victim refuses to cooperate with detectives

BELLE GLADE, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a shooting in Belle Glade.

It happened at about 12:16 a.m. Saturday in front of 600 W Avenue A.

According to authorities, the victim was standing near a food vending tent when he was shot multiple times. The victim ran and then collapsed in front of 601 West Avenue A, where he was treated by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The victim was flown to Delray Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

The victim refused to cooperate with detectives and declined the opportunity to make a statement, authorities said.
